With regular reporting and communication we will keep you keenly involved in the process but generally once things start you can sit back and look forward to the return on your forestry investment.

It is more efficient for you to manage fencing yourself using local contractors. That way you’ll get the fences exactly the way you want them.

Yes. We can manage the whole project for you, including the infrastructure and the consents

What effect do harvesting and cartage costs have on our returns?
Paying the logging and trucking contractor will be your largest cost component in getting your trees to the market. However, cheap harvest and cartage rates do not necessarily equate to best nett returns on your investment. Experienced, safe and efficient contractors utilising modern equipment to create value are worth their weight in gold.

How are Harvesting rates worked out?
Harvesting rates are based on the cost of running a daily operation divided by the amount of daily tonnes extracted. Occasionally a differential payment system is used whereby a contractor is paid more for the production of high quality logs such as pruned over low quality logs such as pulp.

How are cartage rates worked out?
A nationally used index calculates all the associated cart costs and multiplies them against a per km delivery schedule taking into consideration the ‘off and on highway’ Road user charges.

Stumped for choice?
